Epo-Toxy Set Times
and Accelerator #100
- ACCELERATOR #100
Accelerator #100 is used to adjust the pot life and set time of EPO-TOXY for winter installations when the ambient is seventy degrees Farenheit, and lower, or during periods of high humidity. At those times, it may be advantageous to speed up the set time so that the repaired areas can be opened to traffic quicker.
#100 IS APPLIED TO THE "B" HARDENER ONLY. The ratio is 3.2 oz. per gallon. Pour one pint of #100 in a five gallon container of hardener and mix.
NOTE: EPO-TOXY SET TIME, THREE HOURS AT SEVENTY SEVEN DEGREES FARENHEIT (77°F).
- EXAMPLE
EPO-TOXY is designed to set in approximately three hours after the "A" resin and the "B" hardener are mixed together and applied to a repair area, if the ambient temperature is 77°F. Therefore if the ambient temperature is 50°F. and #100 is used the repair will set in three hours. If you use more than 3.2 oz. per gallon you can decrease the set time proportionately (See "Cure Chart" below). This will also cut the pot life or mixing time.
In cold weather operations if you store EPO-TOXY in a heated storage area and the material is 77°F, the set time will be three hours. If you add #100 the set time will be less. This option may be advantageous in high traffic areas to enable you to open the repaired area up to traffic sooner.
Note: You can store EPO-TOXY in cold temperatures with out damaging the product.
