ORGANO-ETCH PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ORGANO-ETCH is a proprietary blend of organic acids and buffers to replace Muriatic Acid for etching concrete. ORGANO-ETCH has a mild citrus odor and produces NO CHLORINE FUMES. ORGANO-ETCH removes laitance and weak, poorly hydrated concrete surfaces to faciliate the use of sealers and coatings. ORGANO-ETCH is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.


USES

• Remove laitance and efflorescence from new concrete
   
• Prepare new and old concrete to accept sealers and coatings
   
• Clean and brighten concrete surfaces (will not remove grease and oil - use ELIMINATOR)

LIMITATIONS

Will not etch concrete through oils, greases, waxes, old coatings or sealers. If concrete exposed to ORGANO-ETCH does not produce foaming actions, then a water insoluble agent is present on the concrete. LONE STAR EPOXIES "ELIMINATOR" may be used for removing grease, oil and some sealers.

ORGANO-ETCH APPLICATION

Protect all foliage and adjacent surfaces from over spray.

Spray ORGANO-ETCH evenly onto concrete surface using a low pressure pump-up garden sprayer. Wet surface thoroughly and let work for 3 to 5 minutes. Foaming should occur as fresh material contacts the concrete surface. When foaming stops, the material has been neutralized and will not continue to etch. The combination of the acids in the ORGANO-ETCH and the alkali in the concrete produces a harmless neutral salt (ester) which can be rinsed away.

SAFETY and HANDLING

Safe work practice will include the use of chemical goggles or face shields, rubber gloves and full length clothing.
